Soundcheck Magazine is a music and culture publication founded in 2025 by Liz Adeoye. Built on the belief that art is richest when you understand the journey behind it, Soundcheck connects everyday listeners directly with the local music makers shaping the city’s soundscape in and around Columbia.

Our mission is to document the complete arc of musical artistry, focusing not just on the final product, but on the late rehearsals, personal inspirations, and unseen labor that bring music to life. Through candid interviews, interactive print spreads, and behind-the-scenes stories, Soundcheck gives creators a platform to share their authentic craft while inviting fans deeper into the creative world. Ultimately, we aim to dissolve the boundary between audience and artist, fostering a more connected, engaged, and passionate local music community.
